About Me

As time goes by I learn the importance of a day!

Friday

This is the Cutest Cowboy EVER!! This was his first pony ride and he loved it.

Have a GREAT DAY!!

Sunday

Happy Halloween

It is Halloween and with that comes the pumpkin patch. I took my grandson to the pumkin patch and he had a blast playing with them and crawling all over them. I am really looking forward to the holidays this year. With him it will make all the fun and excitement of the holidays again. When the kids get grown it takes away from the Holidays because the "magic" fades with age. Then.....GRANDCHILDREN!!! I know I will have much fun this season.

Watch out for the ghost and goblins!!

Happy Halloween!

Friday

Go Gators!

I finally figured out my problem.....photos are too big. Duh! I have a digital camera that is capable of printing really large photos and I should have thought of that!

This is my grandson, Ethan! He is hangingout with his buddy Albert Gator for the Florida game. The mascot sings and dances and so does Ethan. He loves his Gator!

We are up for a good game tomorrow as we face Alabama in the Swamp. It will likely not be and easy game but, I think my boys can handle it!

Have a great weekend and remember GO GATORS!!!

Where does the time go?

Well my grandson turned a year old yesterday and I can not believe how time flies.......He is the most adorable little person I have ever known. He has a great personality (stuborn like his folks) loves music, lights and dancing. That child will dance to anything if the mood strikes him and it usually does. I will attempt to add a photo but the photo adding doesn't usually work for me.

Anyway the birthday was just a reminder that life is short and goes by much to fast. I truly need to stop dwelling on the things that are not within my power to change and enjoy what I have left infront of me.

Just for the record, I am not old (at least not yet). I have decided that I will be old when I am 85 years old. That just sounds like a good number. I have 41 years to go....you do the math!

Happy Friday!

Wednesday

Too few postings...

I keep telling myself I am going to do a better job at keeping this blog but, I always seem to run out of time every day. I posted the last time in the spring when it was Bike Week here in beautiful Panama City Florida and guess what??? IT IS BIKE WEEK AGAIN!! Yep, it is time for the fall rally for us biker folks. I am hoping it will be a good weekend since it has been raining for a week now.
We will get up early (I am not sure why we bikers insist on starting these outings at the buttcrack of dawn but..) and go down to Eat at Joe's for a nice breakfast on the water then off to the beach with the loud noise, beautiful bikes and those fashion statement from Hell!! I am telling you that is one of the high lights for me is the fashion statements. You put a women and men on a motorcycle and they forget they can not and probably never should have dressed that way they do. I do not dress the part as much as most. I have the leather boots, chaps and doorag but as for the skimpy tops with the hot pants that allow body parts to show that NO ONE should see except under the darkest conditions. It will be a hoot, it always is.
This is a perfect example as to why I have trouble keeping up my blog.....I ramble! I think quicker than I can get it typed out and it all ends up rambling! But, that is just how it will have to be for now. Maybe I can work on that and get my thoughts together before I start to type.

until next time............

Saturday

Thunder Beach

Well, it is here again, Thunder Beach! It is the annual bike rally at Panama City Beach and did the bikes show up this time. We road out today and I have never seen so many motorcycles at one time. They come in all shapes and sizes, both the motorcycles and the riders. I am still baffled at the riders. I see some that I say "what the hell are you thinking?" there are some things that should NEVER see the light of day and yet they show it, proudly. I just don't get it...You put a bitch on a motorcycle and she thinks she can wear anything! SCARY!! There are plenty of men that do the same. These guys are so fat that you can not see their laps, Hell you can't ever see the tank on the bike and they have on a pair of shorts, hidden somewhere in the fat rolls, and a tank top. It was fun though!

Sadly, I saw a couple of wrecks while we were out there. Luckily it did not appear to have any casualties other then the bikes. You can always buy another bike, right? I am a fairly new ride of only a couple of years but, wrecks are scary and make me real nervous when I see them. We got out there and back safe and sound, thank you God!

I really should blog more often but, I don't find my life that attracting to write about. I work, come home and enjoy my grandson, Ethan. Man could I bore you to tears with Ethan stories...

Well, live well, laugh often!!

Friday

....take this job and........

Ok, so I quit my job today! I have been watching the writting on the wall and I was near the end of my road there. I just can not sit around and watch that company do things that are not only unprofessional but just wrong. I know most people will think that I am a complete dumb ass but I had a very good friend tell me "everyone is born with two brains (not just the men) it is what is known as your "gutt feelings" and what the brain misses the gut catches". My gut said it was time to go before I was handed my hat! SOOOOO! I left!

If you are reading this and need a good Coordinator with morals and good orginizational skills please let me know! :)

Happy Friday!!!

Wednesday

Well, there has been a profound change in our company as of yesterday afternoon. The fired someone that has been employed here for 15 years or more and his wife, also employed here, walked with him. This/these people have been difficult to deal with at times. That difficulty would vary depending on who you were or who you worked directly under. My point is this, it is not that they did or did not deserve to be here it is that the lack of loyalty between employer and employee. That person did something that is just unacceptable but, he was allowed to get away with unprofessional and unacceptable behavior for years and suddenly he crossed the line? I am really not sure how to take the whole situation........I do know that I did not get an especially warm and fuzzy feeling when I clocked in this morning.

I have been working since I was 16 years old and I am a LONG way from 16 now but, what is in store for not only me but the generations to follow? The big corporations are closing, cutting back and moving to some foreign countries. I can draw about 1/3 of my pay if I retire at the right age......72!! I can't afford to live on that at that age. I am thinking maybe I should seek employment with those companies that like to employee the elderly and get comfortable there. It is surely not in a company I am currently in that will allow someone the freedom to abuse everyone in their path and then one day say "that is unacceptable, here's your hat" and shown to the door with a box of personal belongings. I will keep my eyes and ears open to the possibilities of other employment and hope for the best.

Until then.......... I will keep doing what I do until I don't do it here anymore!!

HAVE A GREAT DAY!!

Tuesday

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!
