Merry Christmas

Well, the year has flown by again. Here I am on Christmas Eve feeling truly blessed to have my family and friends. I really have the life a lot of people can only dream of.

I have been in a relationship for 13 1/2 years. This is our 14th Christmas together. We have raised and/or had a hand in raising five children. They did not turn out exactly as we had hoped but, I truly believe there are thing that are instilled in us that we do not control. Our children are healthy, seem to be happy and live the lives they have chosen for themselves. We have four grand-children between us and the fifth is on the way. We do not see three (soon to be four) hardly ever but we are fortunate to have one that lives only a mile away and we see him nearly every day.

As time goes by..

Today is my daughters 21st birthday and I am not real sure how I feel about that. I can not beleive she is that old or mayby I can't believe that i am that old. She is the mother of my most beautiful grandson Ethan but, she is still my little girl!! She has been the best thing I have ever done in my life and has given me the best 21 years of my life!! I hope her son gives her as much joy and happiness that she has given me!

Waiting ....

Well, it has been nearly nine months to the day when my daughter walked into the room a littl nervous and said "mom, i'm pregnant". she was scared i would be upset! i was not upset just concerned because, they had set the date, bought the rings and were still planning their lives together when...oops! So now, we are waiting for our little man Ethan to arrive in the world! i am so excited to be a grandmother i could bust!! her eis the really funny part.....the kids are going to have my grandson call me Big Mama!! that's right.....Big Mama!!

we went to the doctor yesterday and they estimate the little man at 9lbs 2ozs.......ouch is right! the midwife says "oh, i could be off by a few ounces but, he is one big baby"! good job woman....scare the hell out of that poor girl!!

needless to say, this blog will soon turn into my grandson's blog!!
